Default Location of the 02 censor on bank 1

Can anyone tell me where O2 censor 1 on bank1 of the 2000 2.7t motor is located and what I would have to move to get to it?

If you can supply pictures or an DIY that would also really help

number one is typically the upstream one, right off the exhaust head. Number 2 should be right off the cat converter.
I don't have a better pic, but you can see the general location of number 1:

As far as DIY, it is pretty easy to replace. You need either a lambda wrench or a special socket that slips over the electric wire. Buy same anti-seize paste, you'll need it when installing the new sensor.

If you take out the airbox, you should be able to see the heatshiled on the downpipe, the B1S1 sensor pops through tthe heatshield, it is easier to get to than the B2S1 if that makes you feel any better

Thanks for your help guys, i was just about to ask what I was going to have to move out of the way to get to the censor. Good to know that I have to replace the easy one having said that I am sure they will all go bad eventually
Thanks

The front O2 sensors on a 2.7t are very close to the turbos down under the curve of the firewall. The #1 bank is straight aft of the MAF sensor. Both can be reached with long extensions and a O2 sensor socket. I also had to use a swivel. I was doing other work and had the tubing on top the motor removed so I do not know what needs removed or not.

The aft sensors are under the car... I have not replaced them.... yet.
