Hi Guys,

I set my mind on buying an audi A6 and thinking of buying one this week. However, just been reading various reviews and their seems to be this really catastrophic oil pump failure people are talking about that can kill the engine and audi are not taking any responsibility.

Does anyone know for sure from what model these problems have been sorted?
Should I just avoid buying the A6?

I'm looking at the facelift model so 58 plate onwards, prob looking at a 09 plate, auto transmission.

I'm looking to buy at upcoming auction - first time, so fingers crossed.
Any help and pointers you can give this virgin Audio buyer will be very much appreciated.
