Looking into buy a 99 A6 quatro 2.8L auto 88,000 miles. I've been seeing a lot of theses cars with transmission problems, I just don't want to get stuck with another car with transmission problems this is why I'm looking into get this. What can I look for and what are give away that I should look for before buying this car.

 

Most Audi automatic transmision problems are with cars using the CVT.

And no that 2.8 does not have a CVT

 

CVT as in the type of transmission correct?? And thanks for the info guys I've always thought those cars looked sharp. But I wouldn't want to get myself in another problem.
