Hello everyone. I am looking at an 2001 Audi A6. It is a 6 speed 2.7 Bi-turbo, with 168,000 miles for $3,500. I read the sticky for new owners, but besides the few things listed there, is there any thing else that I should look out for? Questions to ask the owner? Thanks in advance!

 

Thats a great car. They are getting older though. It would be a good idea to have it inspected by an Audi mechanic/garage before buying it.

Besides all the usual stuff, I am seeing more camshaft adjusters failing now as the plastic shoes/chain guides are becoming brittle. Not just 2.7's but really anything that uses that style camshaft adjuster.
