Does anyone know which magnaflow mufflers would fit a 2001 a6 4.2 quattro?

I tried the website too. I went to meineke and they said they would put on magnaflows for 378.00 includes labor and parts. However they wouldn't tell me which muffler they were using which seemed odd. Of course they wanted to prevent me from shopping the part. 378 seems fair but I wonder if they might be trying to get over on me just cause it's an audi.

@PTR - I would suggest going the ghetto method if you want to save money. Basically, have an exhaust shop cut the mufflers off of your car, and replace them with straight piping. If you want a louder sound then you cut the resonator out of the mix as well and replace that with straight piping. Here is what it sounds like on a A62.7T

Edit: Here is what cutting the exhaust MIGHT sound like on a 4.2

Edit 2: Another video.

Seems like the cheapest way to get good sound out without paying for magnaflow stuff.

when i had my truck before the audi... i paid $200 something for the muffler alone (no pipes or anything) from magnaflow...and that was their 50 series i believe...not their loudest....so if u can get a full system for 378 id say thats good, but id ask them what muffler theyre giving u, there should be no reason that they cant tell you, and if they refuse to tell u, then refuse their service lol

buy universals from ebay for about 80.00 and have an exhaust shop install them. #10415 mufflers will fit under the back of an A6, heres what they sound like on a 2.7t.

my mufflers are super light as well. if you want I can post up some photos of what they look like mounted up. I had a hell of a time finding tips though. not in the sense that you cant get tips on them, no no, i wanted something different. you know how every audi you see has chromed, polished or brushed aluminum tips? well, that was the problem for me. everyone has that. theres nothing wrong with that, but i didnt want it. i got myself black tips. they look just like the OEM ones do. rolled edge, same cutoff angle and everything. mine actually look like they came with the car, which is what i wanted. theyre basically so stealth that 95% of the people dont even notice them when theyre checkin out the car. i love subtle ^__________^

I'de love to see pics of what the car looks like underneath. If no one has I'll wait till i get it on a lift and take some. Hey votblindub I had a 06 dodge charger that had a v6 and I put a dual exhaust on it and did the same thing with the tips like you. My father ended up offering to switch cars with me and thats how I got the audi. I think I got the better half of the deal.
