Maintenance question
Ok so here i go, I am very new to the Audi scene, I just bought a 2004 A6 3.0 30v quattro with 99k on it, the dealer told me they replaced the water pump and the timing belt, and much to my surprise when I did a little digging around under the hood I also found that they had replaced the air filter, serpentine belt and done an oil change, at least i suspect they did as the oil on the dip stick is still caramel colored, so with all of this having been done I was wondering what else I should be looking to get done, should I have the break fluid and transmission fluids changed???? etc.....
Thanks

Confirm they replaced the antifreeze and serpentine belt -- they should have. Other regular maintenance per my manual:
* every 40k - spark plugs
* every 20k - cabin pollen filter
* every 2 years - brake fluid
My own opinion:
* every 60k - replace front/rear differential fluid
* every 60k - replace manual transmission fluid
* every 60k - fuel filter (the manual does not mention interval); I went 100k on oem

Replace all the fluids. You don't know what has been done or when. Use good synthetic lubricants. These are very good cars if people take care of the maintenance. I have found over the years that very few people change the fluids like they should. I use AMSOIL in all of my vehicles and at our shop we only used AMSOIL on customers vehicles. Have fun with your new ride. Anthonyz tony@zippyoil.com
