A6!!! GET IT!! ive had an a4 and an s4 and the a6 is a lot cooler... more gadgets and luxuries and you can still make em go fast... if your looking to mod 2.7T is fun ... looking for luxurious power get the 3.0 or even better 4.2 ... good luck ... id say look around before buying from the dealer although its a car from a dealer they need to make money so if you feel safe cutting the middle man out of the picture buy private party

Overall, the A6 with 3.0l should be a more reliable engine...you won't have to worry about failed turbos but there's nothing to mod either (like the 2.7T). You'll need the timing belt, water pump, tensioners all replaced around 85-90k miles. Suggest you find a good indie to inspect the car and then take it to him when you need work.
The 3.0l may not be as fast as the 2.7T, but it will happily cruise at illegal speeds all day. It's a very comfortable highway car with a big trunk and room for 2-3 medium sized people in the rear. I see 18-20 mpg around town, 24-25 mpg when driving 65-70, and 22-24 when driving 70+. It gets better mileage when the temperature is 50-80 degrees. It gets worse when it's real cold or real hot.
I plan to keep mine for a long time. That says it all.
