Quick question, who is running a GIAC ECU program? How dose te benefit of a MBC come into play? What is a safe parameter to set this at?
I am going to be the person who asks alot of field questions for the users in play already. Please share your trials and tribulations.
Thanks....

The MBC will allow a more aggressive boost ramp. This is almost always a must with GIAC because they watered down there programing a few years ago. The MBC lets the car ramp up much faster. If you are in the position I would just get the VAST ECU file. But if you already have the GIAC the boost controller is a good additions. Just remember you can't go over 17lbs of boost or you will go into limp mode

I have been running 20-23psi with out the car going into limp mode.... With the ECU chip the car was pushing 16-19psi before the adjustments.I just do it for the extra kick and the power ratio makes sense. My friend down the street has a stage2+ with MBC GIAC aswell... He is running the same boost as I am with stage 3 software on his ko3's. Just watch out if youhave ko4's because the warranty is against this on your turbos.

I am not referring to a hard limp mode. I guess the best way to describe it is you will get throttle cut or Mini limp mode. When the car goes past 18lbs the car will from time to time shut the throttle. This dose not happen all the time but it will happen. Log the car and you will see if you do it enough the throttle will shut. The odd thing is the car wont feel all that much slower. But in the end the car will slow down. Thus the invention of the TCD"throttle cut defender" this is used on both ko3 and ko4 cars.Plus the car is actually slower at 20+lbs of boost if you have stock Ic's. I know this sounds weired. But several people have shown that 18lbs of boost is the sweet spot for the ko3's the extra boost is all hot air and the turbo is over spinning working too hard and loosing efficiency.

Enjoy this video. Dan ran the 12.2 with the car set at 18-20 lbs of boost no more. This is one of the people that prove more boost is not better on the ko3

Ohhhh i have felt this baskin... at times you see the Rpms jumping up by .5 at a time??? I have seen this a couple times when I look down at the RPMS other than speed around 80-100MPH.... It happens only in 3rd gear aswell?!?! How common is that baskin? Thanks for the help man and checking out the video now LOLOL Sadly mine looked like the 3rd one with the exhaust fan completely disconnect... This is why you get your exhaust fan tightened on the ko4s even though they r stronger :P
