Mechanic needed
Hey everyone. I'm in central nj and was wondering if anyone knows of a good mechanic in my area. I was also wondering how much everyone has paid for a timing belt job. Just the labor. Thank you in advance.

Cannot help with a NJ mechanic but when I had my TB done three years ago it was 6 hours at book rate. So it kind of depends on the hourly rate of your shop. I'm fortunate that out here in MI I have access to an excellent indie shop for under $80/hr. But then again, I have to live without the pollution and crowds in the Garden State. :-(

Kingston Garage does all the work on my 2001 Audi A6 4.2. I am extremely satisfied. Very honest, very knowledgeable, better than the Audi dealer for the vast majority of repairs (it's rare, but some things only the dealer can do). I've got 2 others Audis that they work on as well. I can't say enough good things about them. And it's nice to support a local business with friendly people who are honest and care about their customers.
