Hi Guy’s I am new to the forum, this may not be the correct place to ask the question. It’s not obvious where I can post a question.

Any how I have A6 3TDI automatic triptronic gear box 55Reg it’s done 155Kmile always serviced by Audi. Problems is there is no transmission it start up fine can select the gear but there is no drive at all.
The fault code is saying it’s a P0783 gear shift 3-4. I have done some reading on the net and it seems to point to the valve pack!.

Any advice on this chaps!

Here she is back in March 2012 on the day I brought her home.
No exterior changes as of yet. Have drove her a wonderful 15k miles so far.

 

If anyone is interested, I have the title/subject ride which is now in the shop waiting for a salvage ECF trans after a 180K miles meltdown. And yes, I changed the trans fluid at about 100k. I've decided to spend $$,$$$.00 to keep it running.

I purchased the car in 2004 with 48K miles and was wise enough to acquire a 'new car' aftermarket warranty which saved me about $30K...no kidding. When the A6 is running well, it's a blast to drive but I've dumped plenty into maintenance over the years.

I am willing to sell a spare 2000 A6 4.2L (ACT Engine Type)passenger side complete cylinder head that has about 2K miles and drivers side head with 78k miles. I also have the intake manifold. I'd like to sell the entire lot at once to help pay for the trans.

 

My original Audi A6 2006 2.0tdi. it has original s-line springs sitting on 19" Kleemann rims with Toyo Proxes T1-R 245/35-19
