Just from the research I've done these past couple of days I know there have been numerous posts about repairing a flex pipe. I've read that it's possible to just have the old ones cut out and the new ones welded in, which is the route I'd like to take. Unfortunately I'm running into the issue of not being able to find a shop that will do that. I keep getting told that I'm going to have to replace the pipe and cats to fix the flex. Does anyone know of a shop in the Twin Cities area that will weld in new flex pipes? Thanks.

 

Pat's Muffler in Mounds View will do it for around 500.00. He replaces the cat's and the flex pipes. He does an ok job. Mine still has a leak he can't find and I gave up on finding. But, the fix still works 2 years later. Had I not broken my flex pipes at the cat, he would have just replaced the flex pipes.
