MMI Problems Continue
I have an 06 a6 that I purchased six months ago. Certified and still under warranty. The car has generally been great -- except I was having problems with MMI -- primary problem being that bluetooth kept dropping phone calls.
Based on advice from this forum, I took to dealer and had them upgrade the MMI software (based on TSB complaint regarding surround sound). Bluetooth now works fine, but now I have another problem.
The upgraded software no longer has an option to adjust the trip computer. In addition, the upgraded software also no longer displays the AC controls on the MMI screen. I intend to take back to the dealership, but has anyone else had this issue, and is there anything I can to reprogram on my own without taking back to dealership? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Which MMI version did you upgarde to? I upgraded to 33.6 and still have the trip computer and AC included. I have heard of a few people where the new MMI software was upgraded with errors and certain features were lost. However, when they reloaded software a second time they were advised that the software had upgraded properly and all of the functionality reteurned. I wonder if the dealer ignored the error message and simply gave you the car back with the errors.
Thanks for the info kevin. How do I check which version I have again?
I will take it back to the dealership and make sure they do it right this time. The were a bit clueless when I first went in, insisting that there were no upgrades available. It wasn't until I provided them with a copy of the TSB that you sent to me a while back that the dealership agreed that there was an upgrade possible. So it wouldn't surprise me if they installed incorrectly.
