My 1999 A6 idle problem
Month ago I bought used A6 1999 with 118k miles on it. SO 1st thing I did is change the timing belt complete and wire and plugs. It run ok but when I slow down or stop on traffic light it stall. Can some one help me where is the Idle controller on this car or what should I do. There was a check engine code it was P0432. I cleared it to see if it come back. Not yet

RE: My 1999 A6 idle problem
P0432 is main catalytic converter below threshold. See if the code comes back. If so, then most likely it is your cat that is gone bad.
As for ICV, see the following site:

You can try cleaning the ICV and may solve the problem. Let's hope that it is not your cat.

RE: My 1999 A6 idle problem
Thanks I will clean ICV. That will take care of idle problem. Since I start driving it is getting better now. That car was parked for a while before I bought it. That is my 1st A6. Any good place where I can buy CAT for this car.
