Default Tie rod and alignment question

I had the outer tie rod replaced on my A6. I noticed now that when the car is tracking perfectly straight down the road the steering wheel is slightly turned. Not a big deal but enough to annoy and bother me. Can this be corrected with a front end alignment?

Take it back to the shop that did the tie-rod, they will make an adjustment, and the s-wheel will be straight again.

If you replace a tie rod an alignment is a must. Just because the car goes stainght, doesnt mean the alignment is correct. You could be wearing your tires abnormally fast.

Get the alignment done. As a part of the alignment service, they should center the steering wheel after the job is done.

now this depends who did the job ie:- garage or back street cheapo, if garage they should have done the alignment in the job, cheapo ? you get what you pay for but many are very good its only the few that let the system down
