my new 2005 A6
I just got the car last week and I have some questions. 1. do these cars run rough when cold? 2.will these cars produce more exhaust when cold? 3.where can I get wiperblades for it without paying the dealer $ 150.00 4.when changing the oil can I get by with just removing the front splash and not the back one along with the wheel well guards??5. is mobile one 0w40 o.k.? 6. the car has 35K is it stupid to change out the plugs and how hard is it? do these cars produce a lot of carbon on the exhaust pipes? let's just start with these! thanks
Welcome to the forum and here's my stab at your questions.
1. It should not run rough when it is cold.
2. When cold, you can and should see white puff, which is merely uncombined water vapor from the exhaust. If you see darker gray or blue smoke, then it is not normal.
3. Go to any automotive supply store. They should have wipers that fit your model.
4. For an oil change, you should be okay with just removing the front splash guard.
5. Mobil 0W40 is good.
6. No point in changing the plugs at 35K, unless there is something specifically wrong with them, or your car is running incorrectly. Pretty simple procedure.
7. If running correctly, our cars don't produce a lot of carbon.
For your future reference, list your model, engine, transmission and etc so that we can be more specific.
