My woman wrecked the Audi...
My 2000 2.8 A6....had it since it was new.
Rear ended a 06 Cadillac.
Front bumper cut, I was able to get most of the pain off and bumper looks ok. Grill got busted, hood bent 3/4 of an inch on both sides in the middle of hood bin. Nothing else really looks damaged, mechanically everything appears ok.
Any ideas my best bet on finding a hood for the car and maybe a cheap paint job? Car has 133k on clock, a sunroof rattle and a faded info display, but its paid for and has been a good car so I'd like to make it look a bit better.
I know this will make some of you cringe but I thought about finding a used hood at a salvage yard or somewhere and getting a Maaco semi match pain job on it with a new grille.
Hate to see my car go down in this manner. Its been one of the most reliable cars I've owned.
Any advice? Is the hood difficult to get off the car?

Try find the used one first
at Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market that has cheaper price than Shokan Coachworks, Audi parts 1-800-All-Audi this will quote you roughly 50% of OEM price.
At Shokan the chance of finding color matched parts is higher, thus you may save the re-painting, just a good coat of waxing to bring back orig color.

Why dump a vehicle because it has a bit of body damage?
If the hood closes and locks down just straighten the ends a bit and drive it.
If it dosent close get out the hammer and adjust it til it does.
In a pinch use duct tape
My daughter did the same to my Audi with a lot more damage and I replaced the radiator and side shields and straightened the hood so it was close.
Then used a bit of black duct tape to fill the gaps.
At 75 MPH no-one could tell!

Any advice on how to straighten a hood out? That was my first inclination, to just straighten the hood and go without a grille, let the car keep rolling.
But I can't get the hood to straighten down on the sides. Its up nearly an inch at both sides in the middle of hood.

my car was also wrecked by a woman! but not my woman. we met on a dating site https://bestapp.asia/, went on a date, and she wanted to drive my car, well, I hesitated for a long time but still allowed. and at first she drove fine and then got scared of the pedestrian and suddenly turned right and crashed into a light pole. so now I am looking for a place where to find a cheaper BMW bumper .
