I recently had issues with my A6 going into auto box limp home mode. It would sometimes reset once it was warm and I started the car repeatedly.


Had a thought before replacing the solenoid, check the TCM.


Took up the drivers carpet RHD car, and it was flooded.


Did the rice trick for 5 days and hey presto - all ok.


May work for you, may not but cost nothing to try.
