Napa Gold is purportedly manufactured by Wix (Dana). Assuming it is the same quality as the Wix branded units, I consider it an excellent filter. No cardboard... high quality filter media and quality control is high. I ran them on everything I owned for years while the independent parts house by me stocked them. The parts house went under (thanks to AutoZone, O'Reilly, etc) and I haven't found them since. I had a link to a filter study that showed them as one of the top filters out there, but the link no longer works. A buddy of mine at Napa keeps telling me the Napa Gold is the same filter, but I've been running OEM filters lately. Easy to throw them on a parts order and bump up my total to get free shipping.

Hey, I use a Mobil 1 extended performace filter. It costs around $10.U can go to a website called Germanfilters.com. They sell all the filters you need and at a good price. They have Mann filters for about the price of the Mobil 1 that I use. Good luck.

In the short term, i.e. one change, but in the long term, I would tend to stick to something more reputable. German cars are very picky....
