i have a 99 non-turbo . auto . 150k mi

i need a thread on more power . is there a sticky for more bolt on power for the 99 newer a6 ?

 

First off, more power and more mpg are mutually exclusive. Secondly, there is next to nothing that can be done to pep up a 2.8l engine. Just enjoy it as it is.

 

i tend to realize the 2.8 is not the motor for most aftermarket parts.

so as far as others what else has people done to there 2.8 ?

 

You are asking about a 2.8 but your signature says 2.7.

The 2.8s are relatively easy to upgrade to more power - trade it in on a 2.7t or 4.2.

If you want more power and better MPG, trade it in on an S4.

AS for your car, its a nice highway cruiser. Enjoy it for what it is.
