im new to the audi forum. im new to the audi experience. i have a hose that is "ghetto rigged" in my audi. and i would like to replace it but i have no idea which hose it is.(its the one with gauze on it. lol) i think it connects to the expansion tank.

 

That is your crankcase breather hose. They are known to disintegrate. Here:
