Hello,
I am a new Audi owner and new to the forum andin need of help. I have a 2000 A6 4.2 automatic that has a blown transmission.I would like to know if anyone has one for sale or is there someplace that I could get one at a good price. Also is getting my transmission rebuilt a good idea or not. I have heard different opinions on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

What kind of mileage do you have onb your 4.2? How did it happen and when did you notice a problem?

 

It has 91,000 miles on it and I was on the highway doing about 60 then I heard a high screeching sound. I was left with no reverse and only 1st and 2nd gear.

 

I recently saw one automatic transmission for sale on ebay.. $2500 i believe ????
