need help w/ ac electrical problem
ok - went back to the mech who changed the high pressure switch and had him clear the codes. got home and checked the climate control diagnostic trouble codes - only 22.1 (high pressure switch static open) came back on.
so what does this mean?
is my new switch bad? or is the control head giving me a bad code? or something else?
is there a way to test the switch or control head directly?

Lets see if this works..
There is suppose to be three switches. Audi calls two 'A/C Refrigerant High Pressure Switch'.
Look at #'s 18 and 19 in the .gif in the .zip. Also, if you look at the acccircuit2, it shows two, one with brn/blu and brn/blk wires for the control unit, and one with brn/blu and brn wires for the fan speed... I guess it could be the same switch, different wires, but Audi still shows two locations.
accircuit2 also shows a 'A/C Refrigerant Low Pressure' switch, which controls the coil on the 'a/c compressor clutch relay' btw, with blk and blk/blu wires. I cannot find this on any 'location' diagram however, so I guess it could be integrated into one of the other switches...
If you look for the parts, there are two different ones listed, one 'pressure', one 'low pressure':

Sorry, but I havent had to work on mine, so this is prolly the best I can do. See if when the a/c is turned on if you get power to the coil (check both #4 & 6) of the a/c compressor relay - 12v to ground. If you get it on one side and not the other, the compressor relay is bad.
