I just want to say thanks in advanced for your replies. I am a memeber of two other car forums and find the members very helpful and insightful. SO once again thanks in advance

I am in the market for a an Audi A6. I intend for this car to be an daily driver. So I have a couple of questions.

1. what price should I look to pay? for an 2000 to 2002 A6 4.2 / 2.7 with milage between 60 - 100k. Just looking for a ball park so I don't get taken.

2. Should I stay away from a certain year?

3. 4.2 or 2.7? I am looking o get the one with the better Gas milage. if there is not a significant diffrence I am leaning towards the 4.2

4. What are the diifrent packages should I look for and try to get. When looking. Also are there some tell tell signs when looking at a picture of what package is included.

5. Also any newbie advice welcome that I didn't cover.
