Hey Audi crew! Friend told me this link and i thought
i would register up in this forum.

Im from Europe and im 17 years old, soon to be 18.
My dad gave me an 1996 Audi A6 2.5 litre TDi as a gift
and now im waiting for my drivers license and actually im
more attracted to cars which has a fast accelaration and i
know i wont do with a turbo-diesel much but you guys here
know a lot more so any ideas how can i tune a TD engine up?

hey happy birthday, that was nice of your dad. thats a nice car,i never tried a tdi before but i do think its still quite as exciting, why dont you do basic maintainance tune up first, c how it rolls then you may try stepping it up. there are many so call step up tune up kits out there which to me i believe make little diferece as concerns actual performance, mayb psychologic performance yes, i tried K&N air filter but notice no significant diference in every sence except for long term replacement cost of the air filter. good luck

 

Thanks. Well the whole exhaust kit needs to be changed, maybe a new intercooler
air filter and what about a more powerfull turbo? What should i pick?
The car has 138 hp and my dad gave me to drive it off-roads since i was 15 years old.
Now the car drives a bit slow when i step up a noch.
