RE: New problem, Audi A6 won't start up!
gilee_8, I have a similar problem. When I start the car it cranks / turns over slowly a couple of time then starts up. This just started happening recently. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I put 94 in it for the first time when I was in NJ. And now its acting up, it's under extended warranty so it's going to the dealer on Mon. I'll let you know.
But once it starts it runs fine., maybe idles a little weird, you can feel it that the revs are constant 100% of the time.

Yeah, once it's started, it runs like a new engine. perfect.
Thanks man, when the dealer looks at it and fix it for you, can you ask exactly what was wrong and what they did to fix it! I greatly appreciated!
And for the problem, yeah, it definitely getting worst. before is once every 2 days, now is like twice a day.
And one of the person said, it can be the immobilizer, because stepping on the gas pedal all the way will disable the immobilizer temperory. so I tried again. at the above post in the clip, it doesn't work. so maybe is the fuel relays or fuel pump.
Can someone please tell me where is the FUEL PUMP relay is located? so I can check to see if it is working or not.
Thanks alot!

Man.........I thought I was the only one! I got the CAM Adjusters done and it's been downhill all the way. I can't even drive around the corner and back without having the cranking crannking spuder to life syndrom.
I read on another site it might be a vacuum leak but the propane test sounded scarey.
I sure like the car when it's going but getting it started is like waking the dead!
Understanding that the ex-wife has all my money.....if you get an answer I sure would like to know what solves it.

More updates about Audi A6 won't start up!
Sup guys.
I finally drove to the Autozone today to get my check engine light code read by their ODB-II scanner. somehow the one I cannot read, is able to read by them.
it's two code.
P0432 & P0116 (P0200 is not there this time)
So so far after I got the car and removed all the codes, I got 3 codes:
P0200 = Injector circuit Malfunction
P0432 = Calayst Low (bank 2)
P0116 = Coolant Tempeture something something.
I have no clue what is the P0432 and P0116 means.
But still NONE related to my ABS lights and blinking Brake.
So do any of you know what that P0432 and P0116 means?
Maybe that is the reason for my start up problem and HUGE consumtion of gass.
My average is 23mpg for 2/3 highway and 1/3 city right now.

RE: More updates about Audi A6 won't start up!
Sup guys. any input?
I am almost certain that P0432 is for a bad O2 sensor.
and P0116 is for the coolant temperature sensor.
For the coolant Temp Sensor, I need to get the Green sensor for my A6.
But for the O2, it said Bank 2. I know A6 has 4 O2 sensor, how do I know what to get? and which one?
Thanks alot.

RE: More updates about Audi A6 won't start up!
Hey Gil,
I am not technical enough to know codes...... but my mechanic friend just rplace the Green O2 sensor (bank 2) and it didn't do anything to rectify the problem. Incidently, the bank 2 O2 Sensor is in the converter passenger side right after the manifold. Accessable from under the car. Apparently it it a pain in the #*&@ to weave the cable up throught between the engine and firewall.
Hope the info is good for you.

Green O2 sensor? or you mean Green Coolant Temperature Sensor?
When you say in the converter, you mean the O2 sensor after the Cat Converter?
If there is 4 O2 sensor, how do I tell what is what? Front O2 and Rear O2, but which side of the exhaust?
Thanks again.
Please explain!

RE: More updates about Audi A6 won't start up!
So you saying, changing that won't fix the problem?
But from what I see now, seems like P0432 is related to a not working Cat Convertor, and not the O2 sensor itself is it?
Because if the O2 sensor is not good, it should flag other code other then the P04xx range code.
Please let me know that!
Thanks.
