Default new timing belt anyway to find out?

I have 147XXX miles, person I bought the car from was like a foreign young lady, she lived in the hood its a 98 A6 no problems, i copped it for 3g's so I could not resist!

Anyways, I'm assuming with mileage that high that it was changed.
She's a DUCK but I remember he saying, "I changed the waterpump and timing belt recently."

I doubt she would even know what that is unless she got it done.

Thanks dude!

if u have a friend who is a mechanic, or know one who wont screw u, u can always just bring the car to them, ask to take a quick look and see if its worn and if u need a new one or not, now, why i say u want to bring it to a friend or 1 u trust, is bc u will find a mechanic who will say, yes u need it, even if u dont just to make the extra cash, and timing belts are not cheap on these cars lol
