A newbie A6 question...
Hiya,
I'm new to the Forum (and to Audi in general) and I have a question...
I just bought a '95 A6 quattro with 112K miles (2.8L,auto tranny,LSD). It looks like it's been very well cared for, and it runs and shifts great. However, I noticed that when making tight turns at very low speeds there's a slight clunking noise that sounds like it's coming from the front wheels.
I know that certain LSDs tend to make clunking noises under the right conditions...
I guess my questions is this:
Is this something normal for a 10-year-old quattro and if not, what should I do to check for issues?
Thanks,
Jeff

The CV boots look good and weren't torn or leaking or anything...
I forgot to mention that there's an occasional slight vibration at highway speeds. Also, the tires seem evenly worn and have around 75% tread remaining.
Would you recommend checking anything else?
Thanks,
Jeff
