Default Newbie Sirius ? 2007 A6

Hello,
I am new to this site but not new to Audi, this is my 3rd Audi and first A6. I am trying to find out if the Sirius unit the one that mounts in the trunk is all you need for your sat radio. The dealer wants $800 for the part and I have found one that was pulled from an 07 7SUV for a lot less. Can I just buy that unit and hook it up in the trunk and go.
Or do I need more parts like software, or other stuff. Thanks for taking a look at this and let me know soon. My other car love is old Toyota Land Cruisers FJ40s, FJ60s.

In general, the OEM sat receivers are interchangeable. You can call and ask for the part number, then call another dealer and ask for the part number for a siruis tuner for the Q7. My guess is that they are the same. Does your car have the NAV system as well? It might make a differnce there, but I am not sure.

I have verified the P/N from the dealer along with the P/N from the new unit. My car does have nav so did the Q7 that it came from. I was just wondering if that is all I need meaning just the trunk unit. Is it a plug and play or do I need more stuff. If you look at the nav/radio screen you can see satalite as an option but it is gray scale.
THanks

Just a quick update on the Sirius question. My local dealer wanted $1,050 to install this part I found it at another dealer for $597 and ended up buying one on Ebay for $255. The bottom line is that it fit right into the slot and I hooked up the 4 plugs and it works great. What a Line of BS the dealer fed me. They wanted to charge two hours labor for the install that took about 5minutes. The unit I used was pulled from a 2007 Q7 and fit my 07 A6. Thanks
