no owners manaul

I have a 2002 audi a6 just reach 40,000 miles my dash flash 2:00 hr then my check engine light came on. What do that mean.

Well the 2hr thing is normal it just means you have been driving for 2hrs

The engine light well i think you know what to do with that

Thanks, someone told me if i put gas in while i have my car on that my light would come on is that true

Just perchased car used?
Check for owner's manual on little shelf under steering column.
