Default not sure if anyone asked...

well I just wanted to know if anyone done this or if this possible to work.

I have 2.8
2.7T is the engine size same?
if so, is that possible to transplant turbo setting from 2.7 to 2.8?
if the engins size is same, body is same size(like A6 4.2 is wider Iknow)
isn't it possible to transplant the setting, install it, and able to run it?

I know cost would be a lot to do, but I just had it in my mind and see if anyone done it before...

so you want to replace the engine with a 2.7t? yes it will fit but you need to change the complete wiring loom and the ECU plus other complications

It is the same size and theoretically could be done.
I hear of a lot of people wanting to do this however they quickly see it would be cheaper to sell the 2.8, buy a 2.7T and mod to their hearts content.

You can however supercharge the 2.8 and well that makes it pretty awesome haha.

Yeah supercharging it for around $7,000 would be cheaper than to swap a 2.7T into it.
There is an un-imaginable amount of things you would have to swap over/buy to get the 2.7T to run in your vehicle. Not to mention the 30+ hours of labor to do the swap.

What about using the turbo layout from the 2.7t on a 2.8?

Could you swap manifolds, turbos, exhaust, intake tubes, etc etc to make a 2.8 twin turbo rather than spending $7000 on a supercharger?

I don't personally have a 2.8, just a thought.

Sure continue by changing head gaskets, lowering compression, add more fuel, change the exhaust, and then top it off by putting some cool stickers on it....knuckelheads

Not a chance in hell, you would still need an engine wiring harness, ECM, Injectors, intake manifold, throttle body, all the plumbing for the intercoolers, brackets for everything, probablymore.Plus the engine won't hold up under more boost than 10 psi without cracking the rods....... I think.
