Default (O) in the front display?

I got the symbol of (O) in the center display. I have a 2000 audi a6 2.7t, I've heard that it may be the break pads worn down, but what does that mean??

it means your break pads are worn down and need replacing lol, on new cars such as audis and bmw's and many others, they put a little sensor inside of ur breaks, ull see if u take off ur calipers and do it urself, that there will be a little clip attached to your breaks, when the your breaks wear down to this point, it sends the signal to your computer, there by sending you the signal in your dash that your break pads are getting worn out and you should replace them
