Question odd noise from front end??

I've got an odd noise that I've noticed lately that sounds like it's coming from the front of the motor but it only makes this noise when the hvac is on. If I turn the hvac off the noise stops...

Anyone ever had this or have any idea what it might be?

2.8 30v Q with 187,000 miles...waterpump? timing belt? radiator? fan?

You're gonna have to help us out a little more here.

What kind of "odd noise"?

high pitch, low pitch, squealing, grunting, grinding...etc?

low grunt noise. it's def not a fan belt type noise. it doesn't sound like any type of metal-metal grinding.

hard to describe...

If I had to guess blindly, I would say given your current mileage it may be the bearings in the compressor or pulley.

Are you able to post a video or sound clip. I this may be a PIA but, I would deff help us, help you
