Oil Change
Greetings,
I am new to this forum, wife has Audi A-6.
Is changing engine oil something I can do myself or is it dealer only. No experience with newer Audi as her last one was a new 1990 Model 80. Accumulated over 200K miles and she would not let me sell it as she loved the car. Replaced it a few years ago with a 2000 A-6 Twin Turbo and we love this car but dealer has always done all the routine maintenance on it. I would like to start at least doing oil change if possible.
Thank you in advance for any input.
Kurt

RE: Oil Change
Hardest part is getting the belly pan off. The filter is right there next to the drain plug. 6.8q of synthetic later your done. Make sure you do the filter first. That will allow oil trapped between the filter and the pan to drain to the pan. That way you get the most amount of dirty oil out of the engine.
