Oil Change
I live in bay area. My Audi A6 2002 3.0 is due an oil change. I just got this car and dont want to do oil change myself. Can you please suggest a shop name where I can get it changed? What kind of oil should I ask them to use? Does filter needs to be changed every time oil is changed? Should I buy filter from outside and give it to them? If yes what filter should I buy and from where?
Thanks in advance,
Manobal

RE: Oil Change
Did anyone respond to this? I am interested myself. I have a 2004 Audi and have decided that I no longer feel comfortable taking it to the local garage in my neighborhood that did fine with my 1994 Ford Thunderbird, but reluctant to have them poke around with my A-6.
If you get a response on whether this is an "Audi Dealer all the time" purchase, I'd like to know.

RE: Oil Change
For oil get Castrol Synthec 5w 30 or Mobil 1 0w 40. For filters you def. should go for Mann/Mahle filters. And for the oil change Do IT YOURSELF. Why pay 60 bucks for oil change when you can do it on your own? If you need guidance, search in the forum. There are write ups on how to change oil and other staff, but if you still dont want to do that bring it to an independent audi shop. You can look up for independent shop recommendations in the area where you live by going to your regional forum. If you cant find it, just post it I bet someone there will know a couple places. I did that! Good luck with your Audi!!!!
