Hi people of knowledge.I want to do my own servicing as im quite able,but i just need to know what oil is best to put in.
I have a 2.5tdi v6 diesel and the audi book just quotes audi part number's.

Please can anyone help ????????

Having never owned a diesel I can't say for sure, but I have used Delo 15w-40 in our bmw for quite some time and I know it says its a diesel motor oil. Seems to be a good oil and have always been pleased with the oil analysis results. In our A6 2.8l gas engine we use mobile 1 5w-40, before that the original owner used Gastrol GTX 5w-30.

They are right, do a search and you will reveal a lot of info, although it might not apply since I don't know if diesel cars use special oil or not. I believe diesel oil has more detergents in it.

What do you get for mpg, well kpg for that matter.

M.P.G = between 40 and 4 depends how heavy my foot is and if it's in sport ot not .
