So I've got a bit of an issue. There is an oil leak on my passanger side of the engine, I want to say the head gasket but I'm not sure. The reason it was brought to my attention is that it drips on to something hot behind the engine,I want to say either the exhaust manifold or exhaust itself. My concern is the smoke it produces, which can be exceptionally discouraging. I noticed it beforeI changed my oil about 2 weeks ago(I was running low so I did an emergency oil change. I used GTX High Mileage 10w-40. pretty much all Target had at the time). I'm about to go on a short road trip to Canada(about 300 miles) and I'm wondering that if I keep on eye on the oil level that it'll be ok to wait till I get back to fix it? The other question is, does anyone have an idea as to how much it'll cost to get it fixed?
