I have 98 audi A6 quattro,
my oil service reminder lights up everytime I turn my ignition key on..
I just changed my oil last month, can i reset the reminder service?? or do i need to change my oil againn?

Put in the key, hold down the odometer reset, turn the key, but do not start the car.
You should get service, or oil in the display, then push in the clock button. It should reset.

It works off of mileage & it's dumb. It has no idea of when you change the oil, just when you reset the light.

 

I have the same car. On page 81-82 of the owners manual it tells how to do this.

Button #1 Odometer Reset
Button #2 Clock

Switch off ignition.Press button 2 and switch on ignition while pressing (2). The display will now show "service OIL".
Pull out button 1 and hold until letters "service OIL" are cleared in the display. The display will now show "service ---".
Press button 2 again to display "service INSP" and clear it in the same way by pulling out button 1.
