Audi A6 The mid-sized Audi A6 model offers more room to the driver and passengers over the A4 line.

Ok, I now have to admit that my a6 is a POS, transmission out today at 54k miles

No, that old 3.0L was thrown out by audi engineers, because they sucked! The new twin turbo will be a completely new engine.

What is the track record out there for the first year on engines?

First year?

If one buys a new car there will be a warranty and courtesy loaners...

the new audi is no longer turbo, it is supercharged. Not sure how those hold up compared to turbos.
Even the turbos on the A6 2.7t should be good for well over 100k miles though, so I think turbos get a bad rap.
