Default older gps upgraded to RNS-E

i was wondering what would be involved to upgrade the gps that is only displayed in the DIS (im not sure what version it is) to an RNS-E unit. My car is a 00 A6 4.2 and has the GPS antenna mounted onthe trunk. i've been searching and havent really found any information on this, so any help would be appreciated. thanks.

thanks for the help. i checked that install site out but it didnt tell me much about re-using the GPS antenna i already have, or if i would need to disconnect the old gps controls behind the below the shifter. ill keep looking into it, i'm not looking to do this for a couple of months anyway. but i do appreciate the help, thanks. does anyone know if there is anyone around the boston area that does installations?
