Default Onboard Computer is dead, any possible causes?

Good day all

Please bare with me while I explain my situation. There are 2 screens between the RPM and Speedo dials. The bottom one works fine (it shows the outside temp), but the top one is dead. I bought the car like this, so I dont know what it is supposed to display mabey fuel economy etc.

Whatare the possible causes, and how canI rectify this problem.

Many Thanks
Mike

Do you have an owners manual? In any case you probably inadvertently turned of the display yourself. Consult the manual for procedure to restore the display. If not I can look it up later

Thank you for the help...

I haven't had much chance to read the manual, but will do so.
