Default one more time about the tranny fluid

i have an 2002 a6 3.0 avk theres 80k on the dash.. i want to replace the fluid in the tranny b.c. it has never been done before... audi says its a lifetime fluid..my question is how long is lifetime fluid i dont see how you would still have a good tranny at 150k with the same fluid in it.. i have no tranny probs at all.. so i need help on what to do about the fluid.. the color of the fluid now is grayish clear a little on the dark side..but no metal in the fluid so any body whos had this done around the mileage with the same lifetime fluid please help

How did you check the tranny fluid condition? Anyways, manual or auto? In either case, I say replace the fluid and also the filter, if the tranny is an auto.

I had the lifetime tranny fluid in my 05 4.2 replaced at 40K miles. I refuse to believe that tranny fluid can make it to 150-200k miles.
