Just come back from dealer, like get some opinions from experts here about the pricing that I got:

Any thoughts?

Seems like a good deal to me. It's about $2K over invoice and I paid $3K over. Then again, I insisted on Misano Red and with only 3 on the east coast, my ability to negotiate was somewhat diminished.

Wow you really stole that car. The dealer maybe made 3% on the deal. All the power to you, but I could never chew 'em down to such low margin. BTW, where are you located?

I am in northest of OH. Right now, it is probably the worst season for car sale. Dealer most likely willing to go extra mile to make sale. Beside, there are other dealer perks we won't know, such as volume discount to dealer based on their volume and previously placed orders. Also, by moving the inventory, they can save on insurance for car on the lot. By adding all those up, it could be substaintial. I went to one other dealer on Monday (which is a little close to my home), they wanted $57,500, nothing less. I told them that I am willing to pay for $56,000 and left my number and walked out. Last night, I stopped this dealer (close to my office), told them that I have drove the car and like it and ready to make the purchase right way, they offered $56,000 right way, I left my number and asked for $55,000. They called me today and made the deal. No one is in the business to loosing money. I am sure they got themselves covered. The dealer who sold me the car are much larger in size. Clearly, they move a lot of cars. That might be the base for them be able to afford give out a little more.........

Well gongrats on a great car at a great price. I wish I could've gotten such a discount! Here in NJ, which seems to be Audi Country, I couldn't find a dealer within 50 miles willing to discount the car that much. I've gotten some great deals on non-luxury cars (namely my Titan which I got for $7K below sticker), but when it comes to high end, I've always seem to shoot blanks.

Post some pics when you pick up the car.

PS. This forum needs a serious bump for A6 (C6) owners.
