My parking brake malfunction light came on randomly and it isn't affecting the drive. I also tried the parking brake by engaging and dis-engaging it and it turns on and off just fine. Is it just the sensor that needs to be replaced and where do I find that and is the part easy to find?

Any help and assistance is much appreciated!

 

scan ABS module for codes.

My guess would be the brake light switch may be on its way out but scan for codes for a definite solution.

 

Have the same issues, its "known" issues where **** gets between the connectors and causes the error.
