Hi everyone,

I have an 05 a6 with only the rear parking sensors.
At first for a few weeks i noticed that the warning sound that came form the system sounded like it was dying. I adjusted the frequency so i could hear it louder and then a week later it just doesn't make a noise!
Is there a separate speaker for the parking sensors?

Please advise!

My 04 A6 S-Line had a similar issue. It ended up being the speaker. There is a speaker in the rear that the dealer replaced under warranty for me. Works great now.

Ahhh, I see, I looked underneath the rear dash and found this speaker you speak of. All this time i thought the parking system was directly wired in to the car audio. Thank you for this great reply! I tested the speaker with some voltage out of an amp and it seems to be dead you can just barely reach the wires from the trunk. $75 at the dealer for the part $350 for labor though, ill do it myself. Just cant fathom 3 hours of labor for the rear roof liner and dash.
