Default Performance or not

Any suggestions on where to get performance mods for my 99 2.8 A6?
I wish i had a 2.7t but unfort ive gotta work with what ive got! My thoughts were intake, chip, obv things..but i was wondering if tehre was anything else i could do? (i've got exterior mods covered so far). Also, what is your opinion on cramming an RS6 motor in there?

You could do intake and exhaust for some nice sounds, but a chip won't make much difference on a NA car. I would go with suspension (coilovers and sway bars) and brakes (S4 or a big brake kit). An RS6 motor won't fit, but you could get a PES supercharger.

PES supercharger? I'm not too sure about doing too much to the engine, its got about 90k miles on it so its been through hell and back and honestly i don't think it could handle being boosted =(

the exhaust would also be a custom job im sure, since the 2,8's have the hidden and curved exhaust tips..i've seen a few kits from lltek.com at good prices but they are just chromed tips and don't really do much in terms of performance.

I was just throwing the PES idea out, since it would probably cost less to rebuild your motor andsupercharge it than to even source an RS6 motor. You could get a custom exhaust bent and cut the valance to expose the tips...lots of poeple have done that, or you could swap the rear bumper for an 02+.
