Default Picking up an 1999 Audi A6 2.8Q Tip

this week. I am excited to have 4 rings again!

I am not hugely familiar with mods for this car, I searched the forum and came across a few things such as the lip spoiler. Perhaps a few of you fine folks can brief me? Whats the deal with the the tip-chip? S Mode?

I am particular interested in lighting mods!

Thanks!

tip chip is GAIC exclusive and runs about $275. I have heard only good things about it. The tip chip will reduce the time delay on tiptronic shifts from 1s to something like 1/4s. It is a software upgrade and does not change the mechanical shifting time or anything like that.

Sport mode is something you can change with vag-com. You can read about it on the rosstech website. It basically makes the shift patterns more aggressive and the tipmode more passive.

There are not any real performance mods for the 2.8l except a $4000 supercharger which will putout about 300hp. An intake might produce a few extra hp.

Picked her up today, paid in the low $3,000. Had the car checked out- no issues, single owner, tons of work done (2 timing belt services, suspension valve cover gaskets... list goes on).
