This is the first time I came across this forum, and I have been in the market for a new car for the past 3 months. Currently I have a 2001 BMW 330xi. It has been great to me, and I can't complain. But I do need something a bit larger and packed with a bit more power.

After some debate I have narrowed it down to 2 cars. It is either the Audi A6 4.2, or the BMW 545. Both are great cars, but the Quattro is a big plus. I love my XI, it performs well in rough weather. Living in NYC I drive rough, and usually I'm in a hurry, so I like a car that can pick up and perform. The new M5 and RS6 is a bit out of my range.

Now here are where all the questions come in. I know the older A6 came with a twin turbo option. Since that option is not available for the current model, is there an after market turbo out? I need wheel and suspension options. I'm thinking a set of broad 18's or 19's. Any suggestions? How about body styling? I like to be a littlle different with my car, and make it stand out. I'm not sure how many people on this forum mod their Audi's but I would love to see some pics.

Hi Ravipras, welcome to the forum. You aren't going to find many tuners or custom A6's on this forum. Most of the A6 drivers here only want help fixing their car. As far as I know there is no turbo kit for the 4.2. More likely there will be an aftermarket supercharger kit down the road. Lots of people like to do the RS6 bumper conversion to make a more agressive look.

 

ravipras, I really think the 342hp will keep ya busy for a while, theres no need for a turbo on it just yet. I would get the A6, chip it, with a full exhaust and everytime u kick it down u will be pleased, belive me.
