pinion nut torque spec

Default pinion nut torque spec

can anyone help me out ? don't know how tight to go.

Dennis..if you are talking about the nut on the u-joint that attaches to the pinion gear on the rack(the u-joint nut between rack & column ) it is 30 Nm.

Forgot to mention it is a self locking nut & the repair manual says "always replace".

Sorry I wasn't clear. I mean't the pinion nut on the rear axle.
