I went to visit the mechanic yesterday, and he told me that the water pump is not functioning correctly, that’s $716 job. In the meantime, he let me know that he will replace the thermostat as well.
I just replaced the water pump + timing belt this year in January 2011, so tomorrow Monday, I will be visiting the mechanic who replaced my water pump since I am still under warranty.
I will let you know the outcome.

Ok guys! I went to see a local mechanic who charged me $90 for diagnostic. He figured out that my car’s water pump was not working right.
Now, the previous mechanic who changed my water pump 6 months ago went out of business; but because I am still under warranty, I could get my car repaired at any mechanic of my choice.
I went back to the mechanic who charged me $90 and now he’s changing the story saying that it’s no longer the water pump, but something else...maybe the fan???
I don’t believe the water pump could be the problem, but I am still waiting for the new diagnostic free of charge that they will perform in the morning.
Will let you know.

This is their website TECH-NET Professional Auto ServiceŽ
It seems like the mechanic shop that changed my timing belt + water pump bought the part from them. Anyways! They agreed that my warranty can be transferred.

That is pretty impressive. Good to know. Keep us updated on what's going on with your cooling issue.
I think if your electric fans are coming on, and the water pump is fine, then it may be the fan clutch... but this is just a guess.
