Default Please help-Intermittent Immobiliser fault

I have a year 2000 audi a6 which has an intermittent immobiliser fault. The car has only done 47000 miles. Sometimes whenI try to start it the immobiliser kicks in. I have taken it to my local dealership and they cant find any faults registered. 2 days ago it would not start and the recovery serviced towed me to the garage where it started 1st time!!!! This has also happened before. I am sure the guys there think I am crazy as it always starts at the garag!. I have had a new reader coil fitted and a new ignition barrel to no effect. Can anyone help me please?

Does it happen with all your immobilizer coded keys? Try using another key set for a while and see if it still acts up on you, it might be a bad key.

Yes it happens with all of the keys and I have had them all recoded to ensure that they are all compatable with the dummy ignition that was fitted. Have you any other suggestions?

If you already replaced the immobilizer reader coil and the keys are all ok, it either has a problem in the intrument cluster, or the ecm. But there is no way to test them.
